1. 베드로는 산헤드린 공회의 안뜰까지 들어와 재판을 직접 보았다. 유월절은 양력으로 3~4월이며 예루살렘은 고도가 높아 추웠다. 때문에 베드로는 안뜰에서 불을 쬐고 있다가 체포현장을 목격했던 하녀에게 처음으로 의심받게 된다. 이후 다른 사람들에게도 갈릴리 특유의 억양 때문에 의심받는다.

 

2. Strange Thing Mystifying과 멜로디가 동일하다. 정확히는 유다가 부르는 부분만. The Arrest에서 지저스 파트만 나왔으니 여긴 유다 파트만 나오는 건가.

3. 여기 멜로디는 Last Supper에서 지저스가 마지막으로 부르는 대목. 그렇다. 베드로와 기타 등등의 이름을 부르는 그 불행한 장면.

 

4. 마리아가 예수를 신이 아닌 인간으로 봤다는 것을 보여준다. 그리고 그것은 이미 I don’t know..에서부터 예견되어 있었다.

MATTEW [26 : 69-75]
69 Now Peter was sitting out in the courtyard, and a servant girl came to him. “You also
were with Jesus of Galilee,” she said.
70 But he denied it before them all. “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he said.
71 Then he went out to the gateway, where another girl saw him and said to the
people there, “This fellow was with Jesus of Nazareth.”
72 He denied it again, with an oath: “I don’t know the man!”
73 After a little while, those standing there went up to Peter and said, “Surely you are
one of them, for your accent gives you away.”
74 Then he began to call down curses on himself and he swore to them, “I don’t know
the man!” Immediately a rooster crowed.
75 Then Peter remembered the word Jesus had spoken: “Before the rooster crows,
you will disown me three times.” And he went outside and wept bitterly.

69 베드로가 뜰 안 바깥쪽에 앉아 있었는데, 한 하녀가 그에게 다가와서 말하기를 “당신도 저 갈릴리 사람 예수와 함께 다닌 사람이지요?” 하였다.

72 그러자 베드로는 맹세하고 “나는 그 사람을 알지 못하오” 하고 다시 부인하였다.
73 조금 뒤에 거기에 서 있는 사람들이 다가와서 베드로에게 말하였다. “당신은 틀림없이 그들과 한패요. 당신의 말씨를 보니 확실하오.”
74 그 때에 베드로는 저주하고 맹세하면서 “나는 그 사람을 알지 못하오” 하고 말하였다. 그러자 곧 닭이 울었다.
75 베드로는 “닭이 울기 전에, 네가 나를 세 번 모른다고 할 것이다” 하신 예수의 말씀이 생각나서, 바깥으로 나가서 몹시 울었다

 

MARK [14 : 66-72]
66 While Peter was below in the courtyard, one of the servant girls of the high priest
came by.
67 When she saw Peter warming himself, she looked closely at him. “You also were
with that Nazarene, Jesus,” she said.
68 But he denied it. “I don’t know or understand what you’re talking about,” he said,
and went out into the entryway.
69 When the servant girl saw him there, she said again to those standing around, “This
fellow is one of them.”
70 Again he denied it. After a little while, those standing near said to Peter, “Surely you
are one of them, for you are a Galilean.”
71 He began to call down curses on himself, and he swore to them, “I don’t know this
man you’re talking about.”
72 Immediately the rooster crowed the second time. Then Peter remembered the
word Jesus had spoken to him: “Before the rooster crows twice you will disown me
three times.” And he broke down and wept.

72 그러자 곧 닭이 두 번째 울었다. 그래서 베드로는 예수께서 자기에게 “닭이 두 번 울기 전에, 네가 나를 세 번 모른다고 할 것이다” 하신 그 말씀이 생각나서, 엎드려서 울었다.

 

 

LUKE [22 : 54-62]
54 Then seizing him, they led him away and took him into the house of the high
priest. Peter followed at a distance.
55 But when they had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and had sat down
together, Peter sat down with them.
56 A servant girl saw him seated there in the firelight. She looked closely at him and
said, “This man was with him.”
57 But he denied it. “Woman, I don’t know him,” he said.
58 A little later someone else saw him and said, “You also are one of them.” “Man, I am
not!” Peter replied.
59 About an hour later another asserted, “Certainly this fellow was with him, for he is a
Galilean.”
60 Peter replied, “Man, I don’t know what you’re talking about!” Just as he was
speaking, the rooster crowed.
61 The Lord turned and looked straight at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word the
Lord had spoken to him: “Before the rooster crows today, you will disown me three
times.”
62 And he went outside and wept bitterly.
54 그들은 예수를 붙들어서, 끌고 대제사장의 집으로 데리고 갔다. 그런데 베드로는 멀찍이 떨어져서 뒤따라 갔다.
55 사람들이 뜰 한가운데 불을 피워 놓고 둘러앉아 있는데, 베드로도 그들 가운데 끼어 앉아 있었다.
56 그 때에 한 하녀가, 베드로가 불빛을 안고 앉아 있는 것을 보고, 그를 빤히 노려보고, 말하기를 “이 사람도 그와 함께 있었어요” 하였다.

59 그리고 한 시간쯤 지났을 때에, 또 다른 사람이 강경하게 주장하기를 “틀림없이 이 사람도 그와 함께 있었소. 이 사람은 갈릴리 사람이니까요” 하니,
60 베드로는 “여보시오, 나는 당신이 무슨 소리를 하는지 모르겠소” 하고 말하였다. 베드로가 아직 말을 채 끝내기도 전에, 곧 닭이 울었다.
61 주께서 돌아서서 베드로를 똑바로 보셨다. 베드로는 주께서 자기에게 “오늘 닭이 울기 전에, 네가 나를 세 번 모른다고 할 것이다” 하신 그 말씀이 생각나서,
62 바깥으로 나가서 몹시 울었다.

 

 

JOHN [18 : 15-27]
15 Simon Peter and another disciple were following Jesus. Because this disciple was
known to the high priest, he went with Jesus into the high priest’s courtyard,
16 but Peter had to wait outside at the door. The other disciple, who was known to the
high priest, came back, spoke to the girl on duty there and brought Peter in.
17 “You are not one of his disciples, are you?” the girl at the door asked Peter. He
replied, “I am not.”
18 It was cold, and the servants and officials stood around a fire they had made to
keep warm. Peter also was standing with them, warming himself.
25 As Simon Peter stood warming himself, he was asked, “You are not one of his
disciples, are you?” He denied it, saying, “I am not.”
26 One of the high priest’s servants, a relative of the man whose ear Peter had cut off,
challenged him, “Didn’t I see you with him in the olive grove?”
27 Again Peter denied it, and at that moment a rooster began to crow.
15 시몬 베드로와 또 다른 제자 하나가 예수를 따라갔다. 그 제자는 대제사장과 잘 아는 사이라서, 예수를 따라 대제사장의 집 안뜰에까지 들어갔다.
16 그러나 베드로는 대문 밖에 서 있었다. 그런데 대제사장과 잘 아는 사이인 그 다른 제자가 나와서, 문지기 하녀에게 말하고, 베드로를 데리고 들어갔다.
17 그 때에 문지기 하녀가 베드로에게 “당신도 이 사람의 제자 가운데 하나지요?” 하고 말하니, 베드로는 “나는 아니다” 하고 대답하였다.
18 날이 추워서, 종들과 경비병들이 숯불을 피워 놓고 서서 불을 쬐고 있는데, 베드로도 그들과 함께 서서 불을 쬐고 있었다.
25 시몬 베드로는 서서, 불을 쬐고 있었다. 사람들이 그에게 “당신도 그 제자 가운데 하나지요?” 하고 물었다. 베드로가 부인하여 말하기를 “나는 그런 사람이 아니오” 하였다.
26 베드로에게 귀를 잘렸던 사람의 친척으로서, 대제사장의 종 가운데 하나가 베드로에게 “당신이 동산에서 그와 함께 있는 것을 내가 보았는데 그러시오?” 하고 말하였다.
27 베드로가 다시 부인하였다. 그러자 곧 닭이 울었다.
